LINUS TROVALDS History :-

Linus Benedict Torvalds born December 28, 1969 in Helsinki, Finland) is a Finnish American software engineer and hacker, who was the principal force behind the development of the Linux kernel. Linus Torvalds began a project that later became the Linux kernel. It was initially a terminal emulator, which Torvalds used to access the large UNIX servers of the university.


Torvalds, who is originally from Finland, moved to the U.S. in 1997 and has two kids who are already U.S. citizens since they were born here. He revealed his new U.S. legal status on the Linux kernel mailing list this week and also mentioned he was all too happy to try out his new rights as a citizen since he stated he was going to register to vote and update his information with social security.
Torvalds currently resides in Portland, Oregon and works as a software engineer for the Linux Foundation.

Linux is free for anyone to use and modify. That’s the key that gave way to so many new inventions. He dedicated his life to the freedom of technology. The Millennium Technology Prize is considered the biggest prize that can be awarded to an individual in the Tech industry. Recently, they gave it to Linus Torvalds, the man who changed the world.
